Kubernetes taints and tolerations work together to control pod placement on your nodes. Taints repel pods that don’t explicitly tolerate them, effectively “cordoning off” nodes for specific workloads. Tolerations grant pods permission to schedule onto (or stay on) nodes bearing matching taints.
